We are excited to announce a change in venue for this year’s Annual Meeting of Members. The cooperative has held the meeting outside under the equipment shed since 2009, but last year’s intense heat, even in the morning hours, prompted management to find an alternate location.

“We are looking forward to hosting our members for the 87th Annual Meeting on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at the Lamar County Fine Arts Center,” says SRE President/CEO Michael McMillan.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. when members will receive a special bag and gift. Breakfast tickets will be provided for members and their guests, and those bringing their registration card will receive an additional exclusive gift. Registered members attending the meeting will have a chance to win a $500 grand prize, bill credits, or other door prizes.

Members can enjoy breakfast, interact with SRE Board members and employees, and take part in the Upson Regional Medical Center Health Fair before the business meeting begins at 10:00 a.m. During the business meeting, Michael McMillan will provide a brief report on the cooperative and members will elect three directors to serve three-year terms on SRE’s governing board.
