Pay•Your•Way is a pre-pay billing option that allows you to purchase your electricity before you use it. You pay how much you want, when you want with no late fees or security deposits. Instead of a monthly statement, your usage and balance are calculated daily. You can track your energy use by phone using the mobile app or log in online through our home page. All single-phase, non-demand, 200 AMP residential accounts qualify.
How Does It Work?
You purchase electricity before you use it. Make payments when you want to, online, over the phone, or in-person at SRE’s office. When your account runs low, you will get an alert by phone, text, or email, letting you know it is time to recharge your account.
What If My Account Runs Out?
If funds in your account run out, electrical service will be automatically disconnected. You will be notified by phone, text, or email that your service has been cut off. You can recharge your account at any time, day or night, online or by phone and service will be automatically restored within a short period of time. There are no disconnection or reconnection fees but you must have a $20 credit on your account to reconnect.
What Is The Rate?
With Pay•Your•Way, each kWh costs the same as SRE’s residential energy charge. The monthly minimum charge is $1.15 per day, compared to $30.00 per month for traditional accounts. The additional charge helps pay for specialized equipment and services such as account alerts.
How Do I Get Started?
Already have service with SRE?
To apply, fill out the Pay•Your•Way service agreement online or download the application and fax it to 770-216-1539, email it to customerservice@srivers.net or bring it to our office.
Existing members with a traditional account may convert to Pay•Your•Way billing at any time. Any deposits on your existing account will be credited toward account balances or to your pre-pay account. Existing members with account balances can use the debt-management program. Each time you make a payment, a portion will go toward the outstanding balance.
Should you decide that pre-pay billing doesn’t work for you, it’s simple and easy to return to a traditional account at any time, although you will need to pay any required deposits.
Establishing a new service with SRE?
If you are new to SRE, you need to first complete an SRE Residential Application. Once you complete the service application, fill out and sign the Pay•Your•Way service agreement. This can be submitted in person at our office, emailed to customerservice@srivers.net, or faxed to 770-216-1539.
A membership fee of $5.00, a connect fee of $15.00, and a minimum of $50.00 for daily usage ($70.00 minimum total) are required for the initial service.
