Each August, Southern Rivers Energy holds its annual meeting of members to provide an opportunity for fellowship, report to you on the state of the co-op, and allow you to elect your Board of Directors. This year, our annual meeting will be held at the Lamar County Fine Arts Center at 100 Burnette Road, Barnesville, GA 30204 on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025. Registration begins at 8:30, and breakfast will be available until 9:45. The business meeting will start at 10 a.m., followed by door prizes.
This year, the election for Seat 6 on the Board of Directors, currently held by Harry N. Park, is contested. Per the bylaws, this particular election must be conducted by mail-in ballot. Seats 4, held by Millie Alexander, and 5, held by Andy Bush, are uncontested and will be elected by the members at the Annual Meeting on Aug. 23 by voice vote.
