Southern Rivers Energy is an electric co-op, which means we’re member-owned and operated. When you begin service, you pay a $5 membership fee which means you are part owner of the cooperative. Because we are a not-for-profit organization, your monthly bill covers your energy usage and our operating costs. Any leftover margins within a given year are returned after a period of time to members in the form of capital credits. Take a moment to explore all the ways it pays to be a member.
