Get the most out of your membership with the New Member Packet! You should receive a copy in the mail a few weeks after establishing service but if you would like to request one, please contact us. In this packet, you’ll learn what it means to be a member of Southern Rivers Energy and all the awesome benefits of your local co-op. From scholarship opportunities to money-saving tips, this packet is member-focused and full of great information to help you get to know Southern Rivers Energy as more than just your power company.
Southern Rivers Energy is an electric co-op, which means we’re member-owned and operated. When you begin service, you pay a $5 membership fee which means you are part owner of the cooperative. Because we are a not-for-profit organization, your monthly bill covers your energy usage and our operating costs. Any leftover margins within a given year are returned after a period of time to members in the form of capital credits. Take a moment to explore all the ways it pays to be a member.
