If a member in any household served by Southern Rivers Energy has a medical condition that requires the help of electrically operated medical equipment, we will do our best to keep the member informed during extended outages but cannot promise that their service will be restored immediately.
To be added to the Medical Priority list, the form at the bottom of the page must be completed and submitted to Customer Service via fax at 770-216-1539 or mail at P.O. Box 40, Barnesville, GA 30204. This does not guarantee priority service nor does it excuse you from disconnection for non-payment. We will attempt to give the service special attention during power outages. However, this is not always possible. Therefore, you should allow plenty of time for getting to a medical facility in case of a power outage.
We strongly encourage those members who have medical conditions which require an uninterrupted supply of electricity to have a backup plan already in place before a storm hits their area. While we strive to provide our members with the most reliable service possible at the lowest possible cost, we cannot guarantee an uninterrupted supply of electricity due to circumstances beyond our control, i.e. acts of God.
