GENERAC Offers Special Pricing to SRE Members
Southern Rivers Energy partners with Generac Power Systems and GRESCO to offer members peace of mind with whole-house backup power solutions. Generac home generators, powered by natural gas or propane, provide automatic protection for your entire home or essential appliances during outages.
If you are interested in a whole-house generator, you can contact our authorized Generac installer, who will conduct a free in-home consultation. During your free in-home consultation, a representative will discuss your backup power needs and recommend the best standby power system for you. They will explain the installation process and help you choose the best location for your generator and provide a written estimate with no obligation to buy.
If you have, or are considering, purchasing a portable generator for your home, please consider adding a GenerLink Switch, or any suitable transfer switch, to avoid running multiple extension cords and to help ensure the safety of our linemen and field service technicians by preventing backfeeding onto the power line. Southern Rivers Energy will install a GenerLink Switch behind the meter.
If not done correctly, connecting a portable electric generator directly to your household wiring can be deadly to your neighbors and electric utility workers. A generator connected to a home’s wiring or plugged into a regular household outlet can cause backfeeding along power lines and electrocute anyone who comes in contact with them—even if the line seems dead. SRE employees are not the only ones in danger when a portable generator is misused. Generator owners may risk electrocution, fire injury, property damage, or carbon monoxide poisoning if they do not follow the necessary safety rules.
SRE members can take advantage of special premier pricing from Gresco Utility Supply and financing through Synchrony Bank or GoEnergy Financial Credit Union.
