Before you call our office, check your home's breaker panel (and any outdoor disconnects) to make sure the outage is not being caused by a tripped breaker. Next, call your neighbors to see if their power is off. This will help you determine if the problem exists within your home, or on our system.
If you find the outage is on our side, please call our Outage Hotline at 1-866-244-4890. This dedicated outage line handles outage calls 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.
We must have your most current contact information in our system, especially the phone number of the phone you would normally use to report an outage. Our automated system uses caller ID to match your phone call to your account and the location of the outage. If we do not have the correct number listed as the primary phone, the system cannot identify the outage location.

There are no phone calls, no waiting on hold and no need to know your account number.
Follow the steps below to enroll in our outage texting program through TextPOWER.
Step 1: Make sure your cellphone number is listed on your account.
The TextPOWER system uses your phone number to identify the service address listed on your account and the location of the outage. You can log into your account on our site to update your contact information or call 770-358-1383 during regular business hours, M-F, 8-5.
Step 2: Text “Join” to 877-358-1383.
You will receive a confirmation and then be asked to verify the account by the address for which you intend to report outages. If your cellphone number is not found on your account, you will be prompted to update the number using one of the methods in Step 1.
Step 3: Save 877-358-1383 in your phone as “Southern Rivers Energy.”
You can use this number to text “Out” when you have a power outage. You will also receive alerts when an outage occurs at your location and when your power is restored.
