Southern Rivers Energy members are invited to celebrate the electric cooperative’s 85th anniversary at the annual meeting of members on Saturday, August 26th!
The meeting will be held behind the Southern Rivers Energy office at 1367 Highway 341 South in Barnesville.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by the business meeting at 10:00. Bring your personalized registration card on this month’s GEORGIA Magazine cover to receive a special gift at registration.
Join us for a brief update on what is happening at your electric membership cooperative (EMC), and learn more about programs and services provided by Southern Rivers Energy. Highlights include a free breakfast, an extensive health fair compliments of Upson Regional Medical Center and information booths on energy efficiency, and Operation Round Up.
Registered members will elect three directors and have a chance at winning the $500 Cash grand prize, a 55-inch flat-screen TV, and many other fantastic door prizes including small appliances, kitchen gadgets, and power tools! Members who have been participating in Operation Round Up for at least one year will be entered into a drawing for a 43-inch flat-screen TV.

The Nominating Committee met on April 12, 2023, and nominated the following members of the cooperative for election to the Southern Rivers Energy board for a period of three years:
